Can God be allowed to interfere with the ‘Natural World’?

It is not, in my opinion, reasonable to argue that any view that opines that GOD’s: intervening/interfering/ tinkering in a (seemingly) natural process is an example of ‘a God of the Gaps’ and therefore irrelevant or an ‘unwelcome intrusion’ into the world of ‘Natural Selection’. This will simply not do, for whatever mechanisms of evolutionary biology science might observe/ record/ highlight, they are an observation of ‘evidences’ that are interpreted in a particular way—rather than the last word on the question of—why these events should have taken place. Indeed such interpretations are occasionally in need modification ‘over time’.
